Fortnite, says I need Xbox gold..??

Hello! I was trying to get on fortnite just not long ago, it did not let me play there was a little message saying I needed Xbox gold live..?? Any reason? I think I have a 3 month membership that I pay like maybe 40ish every 3 months (I think, kinda
forgot) well if possible I would like to know if I have still have that membership? I can’t seem to pull it up, I don’t want to be paying for 2 memberships.. thank you

You can find out if your subscription is still valid by signing into your account on the Xbox One and then checking under Settings> Account> Subscriptions.

You need Xbox Live Gold to play online, you can check your subscription status on the account page of Xbox.com which will tell you when it runs out or if it has indeed lapsed.
