Fortnite privacy settings

Hello,

I know this should be fairly obviously but I'm struggling to set up the right permission / privacy setting for my 10 year old who wants to play Fortnite.

Can anyone advise please?

can't play fortnite on my account

You need to change your privacy settings in order to play Fortnite. It's under the settings for your actual Xbox account.

Can’t use some in-game features

Hi every one,

I am unable to play some games such as fortnite because loading others information is blocked in privacy settings, or so it says. I have that on allowed and i still don’t have acces to games for example fortnite. The in-game notifications say that i have
to change my privacy settings, eventhough everything is ‘allowed’. Some one please tell me what to do.

This depends on what you want your child to do and play on Xbox Live. If your wanting to customize what apps they use and games they use/play - as well as time limits. Please the family settings here: https://account.live.com then
navigate to family.

You will need to invite him to your family as a child. once you have done that, head over to his email and accept the invite. Then select his anme and begin restricting what you want. You can also follow the links on that page to
the Xbox Privacy section, so your able to choose who he can speak to and who he can't. As well as a load of other things to help keep him safe

Hello WhiteRose74,

I really can't tell what specific settings that may conflict but you need to make sure both settings below are met.

First, please make sure that your Xbox privacy settings allow you to communicate with friends only. You can do this by going to Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy > View details and customize > Communication & multiplayer.

Then, please check that your Fortnite voice chat settings are also set to friends only. You can do this by going to Settings > Audio > Voice Chat > Friends Only. If both settings are correct, but you still cannot hear your friends, please try restarting your game and your console.

To be able to know what to do , we need the correct error message displayed on the screen when your child tries to play...

You can also go there > https://www.epicgames.com/site/en/customer-service then click on Fornite Tile and research the error, Epic is more able than us to tell
you what is wrong with their game.
