anything for fortnite in the windows store is for the xbox console version only, to sync it with epic would need to log into an xbox and open fortnite.

anything you want to purchase for fortnite on pc has to be through the epic store or in game as microsoft has nothing to do with fortnite on pc.

This is where Microsoft need to stop selling Xbox console goods on the pc windows store, it causes confusion for a lot of people.

Fortnite has nothing to do with Microsoft on PC and all purchases for Fortnite on PC are through the ingame section or Epic games.

I cant redeem it on Fortnite on my xbox though, i do not have my xbox with me. I only have my pc, if i purchase v bucks from the microsoft store, will it show on my pc fortnite without having to do anything on my actual xbox.

Please note that Fortnite packs or items purchased through the Microsoft website are for the Xbox console version of the game, not for PC. In this case, in order for the package to appear in Fortnite on your PC, you need to log in with your account on an Xbox console and open the game. This way, the content of the package will synchronize with your game on other platforms, including PC (provided that your Xbox and Epic Games accounts are linked). Please be aware that this policy is directly imposed by Fortnite and not by Xbox; it is a decision made by the Fortnite team.
