Fortnite party chat not working

Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again

None of this has helped. I am still unable to join my party channel while in a party. I can select it and choose join but it does nothing

Yeah, I was wondering if it was game specific, still trying to see if it only works in party chat or only does not work in fortnite.
