fortnite keeps crashing and xbox one x shuts down

hi, i have These Problem since merch. ich played around 2-3 round fortnite Save the World and after that the games freezes and my xbox one x shutsdown. i tried everything. i reinstalled the game, replaced it to the internal storage, redownloaded my Profil.
Nothing works. other games like gow 4 works perfectly without any Problems. there i Nothing really Special to trigger the crash. it happens randomly. sometime it crashes by Opening a lama.

the fornite support and the Epic games support doesnt help me. they dont answer me or else.

please help me

Xbox keeps crashing when playing Fortnite

Hi,

My XBox OneS keeps crashing when playing Fortnite. Also crashing when I play Sims4 and Overwatch, but not as often.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I do know there is a random bug in save the world that kicks me to home when loading into a game although it doesn't shut console down. Is this the only game doing it? You can try clearing persistent storage go to Setting>disc and blu ray> blu ray>persistent
storage>clear.

If you want you can also try a
soft factory reset

Before doing so, make sure of a few things.

Here's a list:

The information for your profile/profiles are up to date and you know email/password for each/all of them.

There is a backup connection to a network, i.e. HotSpot, or hardwire connection (Ethernet)

Make sure to select Keep My Games and Apps

This soft factory reset is performed by accessing the Settings.

It shouldn't have to do with the username, but give this a shot.

okay after soft reset AND hard reset (factory reset) it doesnt will work. the game keeps crashing and the xbox shut down.

i hate Epic games for this. they wont answer me (Facebook; Email) i want my Money back. Since merch i have those Problems. ANd Fortnite is the ONLY game that to this

You mentioned you "replaced it to the internal storage," by any chance, are you using an external hard drive? If so, this could be causing your game to crash and your console to shut down. Now if this isn't the case, the only troubleshooting left would be
to perform a Full Factory Reset. Let us know what happens!

 

do you mean i have to disconnect my external HDD and test the game again?

Yes! I want you to try playing the game without having the external plugged in. If you notice it is working fine, then there could be some corrupted data on the HDD which is causing both the game crashing and the console to shut down. Now, if it still gives
you issues, try the factory reset.

 

okay after unplugging the external HDD AND full factory reset (twice). The Problem is still there. Fortnite frezzes after 3 rounds and my xbox one x shutsdown complettly.

I dont know what can i to Right now. i Paid Money for that game! and Epic game seem to doesnt care About my Problems.

Sorry to hear the problem is still there. I'd like to try and help.

It's very interesting that the only game to cause your Xbox to crash is Fortnite and even after a full factory rest and re downloading the game it's still crashing.

From the previous troubleshooting the other moderators gave you, I'm assuming you downloaded the game into the internal hard drive?

I would also suggest maybe posting this issue on
Fortnite's Forums to see if any other players are experiencing the same issue.

 

After Full factory reset the only game ive downloaded to my internal HDD was Fortnite.

Thank you for contacting forum support, and Sorry to hear the problem is still there. I'd like to try and help.

I recommend to set the console to Energy mode: Energy-saving and instant-on power modes.

Make sure to also set up cloud save if you haven't already:
Store your saved games in the cloud

Once both of these steps have been done I recommend to clear your "Saved Data", and here's how to find the manage section:

View and download game content and add-ons on Xbox One.

Once at the manage section of the game(s) that is having issues, there will be a section that says "Saved Data" then click on it and clear it/delete.

Makes sure to test it with the hard drive in and out after clearing the content.

Hey Daniel,

Since the game crashes for Fortnite are also making your console shut down, I would suggest possibly trying to log into your account into another Xbox One if you can come across one. Maybe a friends or relative's just to see if it will do the same thing
on another console to narrow down the issue.

Power supply can also be a root cause for the Xbox shutting down. Have you performed a

powercycle? Unplugging your Xbox from the power for a few minutes is always a good idea. And by any chance do you plug in the Xbox into a surge protector power strip?
