    Fortnite hangs on connecting and crashes Xbox


    I have found several of these threads, but not one with a conclusion that has worked for us.

    We downloaded Fortnite and cannot get it to run - every time we try to start it, the game will hang on "connecting" and then crash/shutdown the Xbox. We have made sure all the proper ports are open, made sure we have open NAT, deleted and reinstalled the game, cleared the alternate mac address, cleared cache, and even went so far as to factory reset the xbox and start with nothing other than Fortnite only on the system. We have also done a wired and wifi ethernet connection.

    I also opened a case with Epic, but they pretty much said they view it as a console issue.

    Hi! Does the problem occur only with Fortnite? Are you sure it's not a connection problem that causes the game to hang?
    If the console completely freezes, being a renewed and purchased product on Amazon, you can contact their assistance for the guarantee ;)
