    Thanks to anyone reading this so this is my problem since the launch of season 5 I haven't been able to hear anyone in game chat but they can hear me on fortnite I have tried everything epic games has tried to help me but doing every troubleshoot they sent
    me and in the end they said contact Xbox support and since I can't ring for this problem I'm posting her hear is everything I've tried

    1) uninstalling the game then re-uninstalling

    2) factory resetting my xbox one x

    3) turning off my internet for about 20 minutes then turning it back on

    Plz help me Fortnite game chat :)

    Xbox mic not working

    It's probably a fortnite issue, the only way to use game chat in fortnite is by going to voice chat in the pause menu and turning it on from there, if that doesn't work you can go to audio settings ingame and disable voice chat then re-enable it. This
    has always worked for me but if it doesn't I would report the bug to fortnite.

    cloud gaming fortnite mic problem

    He’s saying he is trying to “game” chat through fortnite and not “party” chat through Xbox, probably because his friends use a different console than Xbox. I have the same issue. Only on fortnite can I not use game chat with cloud gaming. It’s beta. The perfect excuse to not work. Lol

    if you go inti settings once in fortnite there is a option for voice chat, is this set as party chat as the default method or game chat?

    make sure both of you are in game chat and NOT in a party. Also check fortnite settings and make sure you allow game chat
