    Fortnite Delux - bought the PvE game but can only play the Version requiring Live Gold


    Hi all. I purchased the Fortnite Delux Founders edition which came bundled with Battle Royale. I paid the money for the Delux PvE game so that my child could play without going online.

    But when he starts the game he can only play the Battle Royale version....how does he play the Delux version without the Live gold subscription.

    If he cannot then its a total waste of money paying for the Delux version.

    Any help appreciated!

    Fortnite-Deluxe-Edition only works on X-Box One

    I bought the Fortnite Deluxe Edition specifically in the Microsoft Store because I wanted to support Microsoft and now I can do Fortnite even though I bought it and thought that X-Box Live means you can play it on all platforms, and now I can not play it.
    Would it be possible for me to get a Fortnite Deluxe Edition Key for the Epic Games website? I hope for your tolerance, because I have only had good experiences with your support so far!

    A subscription to Xbox Live Gold is required for all online multiplayer.

    Without it you can play offline game modes but some games are online only, as Fortnite is.

    You will need to buy a subscription to Xbox Live Gold to play online on Fortnite.

    Gold is required to play online. Since Fortnite is an online only game, it requires Gold. They are working on changing that for Fortnite and other games, but currently it still requires Gold.

    By having an account, you do have access to Live, but not all aspects of Live. Gold is required to play online and Fortnite being an online only game would require a gold subscription.

    Fortnite is a free-to-play game which means it does not require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    Xbox Live Gold subscription is not just required for free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, Warzone 2.0 etc.
