Fortnite - Deep Freeze Bundle not accessible

So, thinking I would give my son a nice surprise for doing well in his recent school tests, I bought Fortnite Battle Royal - Deep Freeze Bundle today online from the MS Store. I logged in using my account to do this. I was expecting that when he came home,
the download would be waiting for him to install.

However, he doesn't see the gear or vbucks that the bundle provides. If I log into Fortnite (which I never play) I do see the bundle options. Am I able to transfer the bundle to him? He is set up as a child account under the family settings. Don't know if
I need to try to get a refund for the purchase and buy again for him?

Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. You would need to refund the purchase and buy it under his account or purchase it as a gift fot his account (if that is an option). You can request a refund here

did you buy it on the Xbox Store? If yes, you should check the account purchase history to check if the transaction was successful as explained here:

open a ticket to Epic Games.
