Fortnite Crossplay removed

I would love to know why Xbox told epic to remove it. If anyone knew specifics than that would be great.

Fortnite Crossplay

I would like this to RETURN to Crossplatform -- Microsoft used to push for crossplay & playanywhere so I built a 3,000+ computer now there isn't even a single title that does this.

If all there crossplay titles are cut off due to whatever conflicts of Purchases and money or scum pc users then just improve on the matter

However if your going to source your platform purchases then there isn't much purpose in blocking crossplay for the community. if its an issue of progress per platform then that's counterproductive with microsofts concept of "playanywhere" & advancement
of technology especially if those players arnt even on your platform anyways then blocking them as they arnt paying to Microsoft for a platform that isn't there home is kind of a farce.

at the very least if your just at a standing with who gets what then atleast consider that Crossplay was a major feature of the game even if most players didn't care that's kind of revoking content in a manner especially for people who already payed for
the game even if its considering the xbox users who play or even purchase the game that its something you haven't even pushed, more over if its a mechanic that's getting blocked then isn't it possible if someone truly couldn't live without. Consider this
as a violation of terms without cause???? not so sure there but im just asking on this feature to come back.

There wasn't crossplay in the first place.

Why Xbox isn't allowing it now? No one knows for sure I guess.

Probably no one will tell us eiter.

 

If I remember it was an error that it happened in the first place. It's not a matter of Xbox not wanting crossplay, in all respects its been Sony speaking out against it. Minecraft is crossplay on all mediums I believe, except Sony.

 

Is that why I don’t have epic friends button on my Xbox one Fortnite anymore....?

 

Well first off that was an error, but second i'm 99% sure sony is the only one blocking crossplay, Fortnite and Xbox have made this clear before.

Weird though that Fortnite still keeps giving ps4 free stuff, and nothing to Xbox players.

 

I would say there was a choice made by the game developer at some point and let's leave it at that
