    Fortnite Cross Platform Voice Chat


    Hi,

    I am struggling with cross platform voice chat in Fortnite.

    Basics of the problem are that when playing against ps4 users I can hear them through the tv when my headset is disconnected but when connecting my headset I cannot hear them and they cannot hear me.

    I dont have this problem when playing the same game against xbox users.

    I have trawled the net and updated all the settings to includes comms with users outside the xbox live network but I cant resolve it.

    Any clues guys and girls as its driving me potty!

    Can you talk in a party with people on Xbox 360?

    You are not able to use solely the Xbox to voice message, voice chat, or voice party cross-platform. Cross-platform Skype is a different situation altogether.

    Chief Xbox One Platform Architect, Marc Whitten, has confirmed that cross-platform voice chat will not be available: "For a variety of technical reasons - including the sound quality that I talked about above - we don't support voice chat between the two
    systems." You will still be able to send text messages cross-platform though. As it currently stands, cross-platform voicing is not looking to be done due to the aforementioned issues.

    No. Cross-platform gaming and voice chat (messaging and party) using the Xbox chat system are not possible. You can send text messages or use Skype cross-platform though.

    ^^^wrong....PS4 and PS3 players can only text chat cross platform (just like xbox one to xbox360 can) there is no cross platform voice chat natively for either next gen console....
