Fortnite Cross Platform Play on Child Account

Hello XBF,

Is there a fix for this yet? I'm finding it very frustrating not being able to fix this, ive spent hours trying to find ways of contacting microsoft/xbox with silly virtual Agents sending me in circles and giving me links to dead webpages...

Please can we have a update?

MS have accepted this is there issue and are working on a fix XBF brad a d leo have posted in a number threads he stating this

Its driving us crazy in our house. My kids cannot play with their friends at all.

Just to add. My daughter using her child account seems to be able to play her friends now but not sure if its to donwith me messing with the settings or not.

When we (my daughter and I) want to play together, it gives me the timeout error.

Because of this issue with cross platform playing on Fortnite in a child’s account, is there a workaround?

Can we use the adult account and sign into Fortnite using the childs details so we can play with the saved game play up to now? That way we can play cross platform on adult’s account?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. The ability to
play Fortnite with PC users is a fairly new feature. The link we provided contains general information about cross-platform functionality The way to allow cross-platform play is a setting within the Fortnite options menu. Unless, the Xbox account that is
attempting to use cross-platform is a child account. If your daughter is utilizing a child account, we recommend allowing permission to use cross-platform play through

the parental settings by logging in to the adult account. Be sure to let us know the results!

Hello Stor,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Which game is the child attempting to play that is cross platform? The only game that is available for cross platform play between Xbox and PlayStation is Fortnite. If the game attempting to be played is
Fortnite, child accounts do not have the ability to cross platform play at the moment. This is a decision made by Microsoft. The reason is that Microsoft is currently working on adding a parental setting that allows the parent to enable cross platform play
for the child account. We do not have an update on when this feature will become available, but we are aware of it and are working on it diligently. We will post an update on the Xbox forums about adding that feature to the parental settings as soon as we
get another update. We look forward to hearing from you again.

Hey, I see your having an issue with the multi platform gaming with Fortnite. This is a known issue that Epic games and our team are investigating at the moment. This only happens with xbox one child accounts, and only the child accounts. Please if you need
