Fortnite 2 accounts on same Xbox One

hi, I have checked the other threads but nobody answer it clearly...I have 2 kids, 10 and 8, we have one fortnite account working pretty well, but now the 2nd kid want have his own account. I created a new profile, with another email and name. So when we
login with this 2nd account, to play Solo it shows N/A in time and NEVER start one game online.

Questions:

1) does i need buy another pass (live gold or whatever)?

2) can the play togheter split screen (independent from Q1) ?

If they're only using one console, the account with Gold should set the console as their Home console. This will allow both kids to play online without having to purchase a 2nd subscription. https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

Both of your kids should have seperate accounts i think

2 Players can play minecraft on one Xbox One console at the same time using seperate accounts. Maybe it also applies to fortnite on xbox series x and xbox one?

You can use the split-screen mode to play Fortnite: Battle Royale Duos and Squads on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Here is how to start a split-screen session:

1. Start Fortnite and go to the Main Menu.

2. Make sure that both controllers are connected to the console and turned on.

3. Once both controllers are connected, the first player needs to invite the second player to select their account.

4. Once signed into their account, the second player will appear in the lobby and split-screen mode will automatically turn on when you start a game.

If split-screen mode isn’t working as expected, check your internet connection. Split-screen mode will only work if your connection is stable.
