Fornite Battle Royale is also available in the Microsoft Store for free. I suggest that you get this game from the Microsoft Store to check if it will help you upload your clips on the Xbox app. It's important
to get the license of this game from the Microsoft Store so that the Xbox app will recognize that you owned it and came from the Microsoft Store.

If I'm understanding the issue correctly: you bought the Fornite Starter Pack from the Microsoft Store but you're not playing it via the Microsoft version (i.e. the one on Xbox)?

Unfortunately I think the thing you bought will have stated it was for Xbox only so I'm afraid if a refund request has already been rejected on that basis there's not much else to be done.

I am worried if the day one edition which I ordered from Microsoft store is still available and not available at the stores. I hope Iget my xbox one on launch

Installed the November 2018 update for XBOX One and the latest update for Fortnite. Even with the above mentioned settings for privacy & online safety enabled the option for cross-platform play on Fornite is still not available when signed in from the
child account.
