    Former roommate signed up himself for the Preview App, using my console. Is their hope?


    Cutting right to the chase, I'm wondering if its still possible for me to receive an invitation from Xbox Live, if the console is already registered. I have the app installed, I just can't use it because I wasn't the one invited. Based on my understanding
    from reading the FAQs, I'll never receive an invite because my console is already registered to receive the updates.

    His account is no longer on my xbox one and I'm wondering if there's any hope. If my fear is unfounded, then please let me know and I'll patiently wait for my own invite. Former roommate signed up himself for the Preview App, using my console. Is their hope? :)

    SERIOUSLY i need to change netflix accounts ..... and xbox one doesnt have the option.....

    subject says it all.. when I found out my roommate was using my Netflix and not paying I signed out of everything thing at Netflix.com... but I had family issues and he signed up for an account under my xbox name and now I cant sign him out..... how is
    this not an option on the app...... swag

    When is Microsoft going to acknowledge that this "new experience" is buggy and needs fixing

    Only preview members can report any issues using their console. The OPs issue as been reported by many in the preview program just waiting for a fix or Amazon sorting their App out.

    Same here, but in my case it was my former roommate's. It was just really slow most of the time for me.

    If you get an error about wrong credentials, it might have something to do with Two Step Verification and/or the password being longer than 15 characters.

    Please ask your roommate to go to
    https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage     and to sign in with his account. Have your roommate check that his security information (i.e. secondary emails and phone numbers for password recovery) are up to date and correct.

    If your roommate hasn't yet enabled Two Step Verification, it is highly recommended to enable it, and to set up the Authenticator App with it.

    After enabling Two Step Verification, your roommate has to use an App Password on the Xbox 360, as it can't work with Two Step Verification (yet). Further down the page is the section to create a new app password.

    Use that app password on the Xbox 360 instead of the regular password when signing in.

    Did that resolve the issue?

    Hello! If I understand correctly now, you no longer need an invite to sign up to be a preview user. Assuming you're on the latest public update for your Xbox, you should be able to find and download the Xbox Insider app on your console. Once you have that,
    there's a way to manage your console's preview status and opt-in from within the app.
