Just as a question - what is the purpose of "free games" added to ones library if its sealed behind DRM making so I have to constantly pay for the ability to get these "free games" but have to be forced through a pay wall paying for the ability to use xbox's online service - JUST to be able to play said games after being directed as -YOU GOT IT- indicating it is now OWNED. No offense Smwutches youre not the "ambassador/moderator" for this because it seems like you have zero clues as to the xbox eco system, so if you can get a different "ambassador/moderator" to look at this that'd be cool.

I have game pass ultimate. I fail to see how that effects free games from over 5-6 years ago when at times through those years I still owned and was able to play those and other g.o.g titles without having a gold membership at times. The deal was that once you clicked to own - you did regardless of gold membership status after the fact. But yet again THIS part their T.O.S. IS NOT defined at all so I guess that just gives Xbox the right to take things you "owned" for years, for many years prior.

Do you still have a Gold subscription? For the Xbox One games, Gold is required to continue playing the games for free.
