Without knowing the email, password or phone number it may be difficult and definitely not something someone in the forums could accomplish.

Use this link and follow the instructions carefully to try and recover the account, if you're still unable to do so then click on the "Contact Us" to talk with an official Microsoft Employee

Sorry to hear that the console was wiped, it usually is part of the repair process,

Another good idea is to go to
https://account.live.com/acsr and see if you could recover it following the prompts.

If you cannot get your password reset link by following any of them or the steps listed, the account might be lost and you would have to create a new one.

A bit confused here... Has your son been using the Xbox with someone else's account, but you have forgotten the password?

If your son has forgotten his own password, I would just change his Microsoft account password online:
