Forgot Parental Security Password

My son wanted to watch a movie on Netflix tonight, but when prompted to enter the parental security code I can not remember what it is. Is there way to have the password reset or to retrieve it?

you would have to contact support by phone they are the only ones that can help you reset it sorry.

 

there is a way to reset the password on the account if you know what the parental Microsoft email address is.

* go to Sign in to your Microsoft account

* if you are unable to sign in, click the blue link underneathe where it is asking you to sign in that says "can't access your account"

* click forgot password then Next.

* type in the parental email address and enter the Captcha letters at the bottom and hit Next.

* this will take you to security verification screen, if you do not have access to the email or phone number on file, or the security question, choose the I don't have these anymore option (or something similar) this will take you to an account recovery
form. It will ask for a contact email, put the contact email as something different than the email used for the account you are trying to recover.

* After you fill out form and submit it, you will get a responce saying one of two things.

1. and link to reset your password or 2. a message saying we do not have enough information to verify your account.

* if you get #2 then you will need to contact Xbox Support to they can escalate your issue.

Hopefully you can avoid doing the account recovery form and just use one of the security options to reset your password. Hope this was helpful.

 

Sorry it took so long to respond back to you. I can log onto the live account. I just don't know where to go from there to request or reset the password.
