Forgot main account email address

Is there a way I can petition Microsoft to get my account back? I don't remember the specific email address for it however I now the email address I have as secondary for it. I thought the point of a secondary account was to help me recover my account
if I were to ever forget it. When I type in the secret code they send to my email, proving to them that I am the owner of the account, they send me the accounts associated with my secondary email. This would be perfectly fine if they would show me the full
name of my accounts. They only show the first 2 letters and the rest are blocked out. What good does only the first 2 letters do me if I don't remember the email address? The virtual support bot isn't any help it just sends me back to square one. Gamers can't
help. I need a Microsoft personal. I can prove that the account is mine. I remember the year I made the account, tag name, I have the info of the system the account was made on. I'll explain how my account got lost in the first place. I just need someone at
Microsoft to make it possible. Please again is there a way to petition Microsoft?

Hi Typhon,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are trying to recover an account. If you know the gamer tag you can request a call from support. If they can
"verify" which they may be able to as you got code from secondary email. They can provide you information on the account.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Most likely you've created a second account using that email address. Try and sign in using your gmail address and go through the forgot password process so you can access that account.

Once you have access to that account, you'll have to give that account a new email address and make it the primary alias (email address) for that account so you can then remove your gmail address from that account and then use it on your main account where
you have your yahoo email address.

Xbox Support can't change account info only you can.

^ Digital has got it spot on.

Create a dummy email address - move the tag you don't want from your main email to new email address - then transfer main account from friends email to your main email account.

but the thing here is it will take up to 30 days to be able to move your main account to your main email address. just follow the above link.
