    Please clarify what it is that you are trying to do.

    Did they forget the "Passcode" that they used for Console Settings? Or did they forget the "Password" for their Gamertag/Windows Live ID?

    Passcode problem

    The only way around forgetting your passcode is to recover the account back on the the console I'm afraid, it'd involve deleting the PROFILE ONLY that you have forgotten the passcode for and the putting in the details again in the account recovery tool.

    Is it the passcode or the password you lost? If passcode, just enter it wrong three time and then enter your password. If password, then you need to use your email associated with your GamerTag and select "lost/forget your password?"

    The passcode is not something that can be administered by a parrent account, only on the individual account as it is a general LIVE feature, not specific to family packs.

    You'll want to sign into the individual profile and add a passcode. However, passcodes are only console specific. If you ever forget the passcode, you will have to delete and redownload the profile, so you'll want to make sure you have the login information
    before setting one.
