    has anyone noticed this? I had my kids set to "friends only" and forge would just present an error saying

    "A fire team member's online safety settings do not allow them to view this content"

    weird. Is this a bug or am I missing something about how forge works? In halo 4 I could just whitelist it as being ok and my parental controls would otherwise work. Since halo 5 is Teen, I cannot just whitelist this game. I don't want to allow blanket
    access for my kids to xbox live shared content.

    My son couldn't play Fortnite PVP because his account was not set up to play user generated content and it directed us to the restriction settings on xbox.com. Well, we looked and could not find any there, at account.xbox.com, or at account.microsoft.com

    However, if you go back to the console and log in with the parental account it works fine.

    From the parent account, you can view the restrictions on your family member accounts. There are more options there than are available on xbox.com and one has to do with shared content. It looks like if you allow your child to see content generated and shared by
    others, others can also see any content your child shares.

    Not sure if this is the best way, but it worked.
    We are having the same problem! Where is the shared content option pls.

    "hide listings in search, stores & apps" impacts ALL accounts

    I believe this is to prevent signing into another account to bypass any restrictions.

    A possible future implementation could be to just require the parental control code to access content that is normal restricted. But currently a global impact is the only way parental controls will work.

    If you are 17 and have parental restrictions on your account the parental account will need to remove those restrictions in order to allow you to purchase the content.

    After you turn 18 you'll be able to promote your account to adult to remove the purchasing restrictions and no longer require a parental account.

    If your son's Gamertag is used under the same xbox live account, (family account, game sharing) he will get all the same content (if no parental restrictions are applied) to his system.
