Forcibly changed my gamertag...

I understand that my gamertag was inappropriate and the enforcing was legit, but the fact that it was just changed and I wasn't given the ability to change it myself. I had people no recognized who I am and also lost the individuality and uniqueness of my
gamertag today. The least you could do would be to allow a free change since it was forcibly changed to something completely stupid and now I have to pay another 10$ after paying hundreds if not over a thousand of dollars to this company.

If your gamertag is forcibly changed you should get a free gamertag change. I didn't waste $10 to have my gamertag removed.

Nowhere in the FAQ does it state that these are tags that have been previously acted on. In fact it seems quite clear that these are currently reported gamertags.

 

Sorry to hear it. FNC's (Forced Gamertag Changes) are issued by the PET if your tag goes against the ToU or CoC of the Live service. The only warning that is received is in the ToU or CoC that you agree to upon creation of your account.

If this happens then you are responsible for changing your tag to something more acceptable and must pay the price to do so.

Well I don't get how i couldn't at least gotten a halfway gamertag, Like how am I suppose to tell a friend my gamertag is now Angrycolt239023095732095. I mean i understand it wasn't exactly the greatest gamertag, but i've seen far worse ones that haven't
been changed or anything.

 

It's like jail... they want to make sure you don't do it again.

 

If I have to pay for it myself I probably will do anything i want.

 

You can certainly pay to change the gamertag to whatever you like so long as it does not go against the ToU or CoC of the Live service.

However, you should know that if you get a new tag that goes against the rules you would face either another FNC or even have your gamertag banned from Live for multiple infractions.

It has happened to others in the past. Remember to keep it clean and have fun on the service.
