Forcible Gamertag Change

I just received an email saying my gamertag violated terms of conduct and that it had been forcibly changed. It was changed to this HappyWhelp garbage that no one in their right mind would ever want. I shouldn't have to be charged when Xbox won't even explain
why my gamertag violated conduct rules.

After dealing with support for hours trying to get the Fable Trilogy to work what I get is my gamertag ***. Support is telling me I should be able to change my gamertag for free after it was forcibly changed and that to get you to fix it I have to post
here.

Xbox one followers privacy/spam concerns. END IT

Even if you change your Gamertag, you purchases and saves are still locked to your account. I could change my gamertag right now and I still have everything. It stays with the email address you signed up with, not gamertag.

Need your opinion about a couple of gamer profiles

It cost 800 Microsoft Points to change a gamertag, $10. Change your gamertag of the one you like to something else, and then change the other one to the gamertag you like. $20 investment and your playing on the gamertag you want to play on, and you have the achievements to show off your progression of games.

You would have been given a forced name change because your gamertag violated one of the following:

Communications & User Created Content

•Do not create a Gamertag, profile content, Avatar content, in-game content, videos or any other content that may offend other users. This includes, without limitation, anything related to or suggestive of: ◦Profane words or phrases

◦Topics or content of a sexual nature

◦Hate speech

◦Illegal drugs or controlled substances

◦Illegal activities

◦Controversial religious topics

◦Notorious people or organisations

◦Sensitive current or historical events

◦Any “sound-alike” or “lookalike” words, phrases, or puns that reference these topics

Support has given you the wrong imformation,if you want to change your gamertag then you will have to pay,you do not get to change it for free.

As Badger says, there is no way to get a free change after violating the Code of Conduct.

To get a Gamertag you actually want, you will need to pay the change fee. And this time, stick to something within the bounds of the Code of Conduct or you will face the same problem at some point down the line.

If your gamertag is forcibly changed you should get a free gamertag change. I didn't waste $10 to have my gamertag removed.

Also Criosphinx, the system does not recognize if the name is all capitals, and just because he put the name in all capitals does not mean that is how it shows on the gamertag.

I have to agree with davemcfly. People always see the worst in gamertags, and there may be 3 capital K's but the representation of the rest of the letters could be innocently genuine. Some people take gamertags too far. While there could be an argument why
didn't the affected player use a C-razi instead of a K-razy. And I think it'dbe much obvious to assume, if his name is actually Kane, he wanted it to be identical the whole way through. KOOLKRAZIKANE. But OUTSIDER you do realisethat in your quotation of '3
CapitalK's have you noticed the fact that they were all capitals from what the affected member said?

Aside from that unfortunately you'll never get that Gamertag back. Your best bet is to pay the fee.
