Forces Gamertag chage

My son's Gamertag on his Xbox live account (Which I pay for) was changed by the Enforcement team without warning. Hie Gamertag was
[Mod Removed]and was changed to Cleanpup522508. No warning was given that his Tag was considered offensive and no chance was given for us to change it. His bank card on the account was blocked from making purchases so that we cannot change
the Tag even if we wanted to. I contacted Customer Support who told me theres is no way to contact the Enforcement Team direct and that they cannot change the Tag either. I refuse to buy a new Tag, he had this one for over 2 years and it was never suggested
that it was offensive in any way. The [Mod Removed]related to the DOnkeys I worked with not any part of the body and I am deeply offended that he had been forced to consider a Gamertag that implies he was dirty. I am furious that this has
been done in an arbitrary manner with no option given to change the Tag for free or to appeal. Xbox have recently taken money from my account for content they have never delivered and it is not the first time that had occurred. It seems that Gamertag changes
are the newest way for Xbox to generate revenue and I am at the end of my patience with them. IF! the Tag is offensive then customers should have the option to change them to something considered more appropriate within a set time period without charge or
then suffer a Forced changed if they do not comply. I would like someone from the Enforcement Team to contact me direst by email to discuss how they intend to put this right without charge or I shall be cancelling the Live Subscription permanently. As this
account frequently makes purchases online by card the Gamertag was fully visible to Xbox and had been for the first day yet is only now being challenged. I am still awaiting resolution of the other issue as well. To ensure that this message gets to the people
it needs to I shall post on Facebook and Twitter as well as getting anyone to answer is a battle in itself.

You can log in to the Enforcement Team site and submit a case review. enforcement.xbox.com/home Support was correct in telling you that there is no way to contact them via phone or email.
The case review is your best recourse. Good Luck!!

 

Just to add, your warning is the Code of Conduct you agree to when you sign up for Live. You also agreed to the forced gamertag change policy by agreeing to the code as well.

The enforcement team used to allow free name changes when gamertags violated the code, but too many people abused that system so they ended it.

 

Since the mods here removed the game tag I would assume that you won't be getting it back, regardless of the intent or "innocence" of the term used in relation to donkey. It doesn't matter how long it has been used on the service, only that it got reported
and changed.
