Forced to reset internet box every session !

Hi everyone,

bought an Xbox one X on the very first day and have a wierd connexion problem...

i use an ethernet cable on it...

but the only way i can really connect in order to play is to reset multiple time my RedBox (SFR) AND the Xbox one X until it finally works -_- (and it can take up to 30mn or more! at 30mn i just quit...)

the wierd thing when i'm testing the internet connexion with the xbox one x ::

- connexion test :: OK !

- connexion multiplayer :: NO internet connexion ! (wtf?)

it seems that there isn't such a problem with my other consoles or PC...

Clearly i can't continue this way, could someone help me please ?

xbox one controller disconnects when idle or changing battery pack

I want help to prevent this how can u say its fair to be in a game and then i am forced to hard reset leaving my session and loosing any data that i aint daved yet because i expect my btand new console to not act in this way.

Forza 5 ships unplayable.

Shouldn't this same "logic" apply to every Copy of Internet Explorer as well? This means every PC/ Laptop or any other Device that use Windows and Internet Explorer is "broken" from day one with out an Internet Connection?

Makes sense right? IE is shipped on every PC but it doesn't function in the slightest without a "forced" Internet Connection. I guess the entire Internet is fail now. Oh well, maybe we can go back to smoke signals and try again?

Try a wireless connection, if that works then there will be possibly a few things wrong:

1: Cable, try a different cable it could be damaged in some way.

2: Try a different port on your router, it also could be damaged in some way.

If neither of these work then the only thing left that could be wrong is that the Ethernet port on your console is damaged, in which case take it back to where you bought it and get a new one.

I can't imagine the cause can be the ethernet port on the xbox 'cause the internet box's reset wouldn't change anything...

In my case i "just" have to reset the box.

Indeed, when i want to play, i shut down my internet box for 1' then reboot it and wait another 1' before starting the XOneX, and everything goes fine...

I do think that the problem is that the xbox's IP resets or do not resets as expected and causes this very problem...

that's why i posted my problem...

I thought someone would have experienced the same problem :/

Not so sure about that Neco. Microsoft controls the DRM. There should be a DRM cache that times out. i.e. every time I log in online it refreshes it and if I don't have internet I can still play for 2 or 3 days, or even a week, before it forces a check
again... Considering the tech in this box, that shouldn't be too hard...

I have the same issue. I have a Samsung TV and it was recommended (as a quick 'fix') to hold the power button down on the TV remote forcing a 'reboot' of the TV. That works but must be done almost every time I start a new Xbox session.
