Forced name change

My name was considered offensive. I disagree, but wont fight you on it. I do however request a credit for a name change. 10$ for a forced name change where i wasn't even given a chance to defend myself is ridiculous.

Forced Name Change?

So, late last night I attempted to log into my account and I was immediately greeted with this little treat:

"In accordance with Xbox LIVE policy, the gamertag is no longer allowed. Please change your gamertag before playing on Xbox LIVE."

In an attempt to determine that rationale behind the name ban I called the support department in hopes of this enigmatic situation being resolved. However, the support department stated that there wasn't a single note regarding why the name change was enforced
and they suggested that I make a post here.

I guess that's what I'm going to do, so here I am. I'd like to know why this account was deemed inappropriate or anything of the sort. This gametag,
while not my name, was a
nickname given to me ages ago by someone that knew me and a person name "L. Hein." This person was a dear friend of mine that had certain medical issues, and ended up being my best friend
-- the remaining bits of the story aren't necessary, but this name is something that I've latched onto.

Basically, I was Heins "little brother" and people started calling me Hein, and since he came first with the L some people attached the M onto my nickname and it just stuck.

I've had this account for 7+ years, so I feel as though I deserve some sort of explanation for why this is happening now. If the name ban is final, then I'd like to have the account completely disabled.

Forced name change

multiple forced name changes can result in a perma ban of your account

next time take the code of conduct more seriously

Hello there CleverColt90006, There is no way to request a forced name change. The enforcement team will only investigate your account if someone has filed a complaint on your account and they will only give a forced change if your gamertag
violates the code of conduct. Even if they did issue a forced change, they would give you a randomly generated tag.
You would not be able to choose your new tag without paying.

Also what i meant was, the fact you guys changed my name because it had the word
[Mod Removed] in it, while giving me a name with a racial slur in it as a new suggestion is ridiculous. Not to mention you are now forcing me to give you more money instead of giving me a chance to change it myself.

You are going to have to take this up at 09 - Xbox 360 Account Suspensions & Console Bans they deal with Inquiries about account suspensions, forced Gamertag changes, console bans, and other enforcement actions. There is nothing We can do about it
here.

It`s not like it`s my fault, I`m a community Member nothing more, It`s not like i`m responsible for all of this, Lol, Your talking to the wrong person, ^_^

Maybe you should be more careful when answering tickets requesting a response from a staff member.

 

what ticket you came here about your forced name change and wanting to get a credit to to get it to changed for free. which you cannot if you want to blame anybody for why you have to pay for a new tag blame those who used to abuse the system by changing
their tags to ones just as bad they decided to update the policy so they just get a random tag so the offensive one is no longer usable.
