Then set contacts to friends only

If you still want to have a name change then you will have to ask your parents for the 10 bucks

There is no free forced name change

You only get one when your name violate the terms of use

Even then you dont get to choose a new name without paying for it

if you really are getting hate mail then tiume to set privacy settings to friends only

and a forced gamertag change wont help you

first when a forced gamertag change happens a black mark goes on your record and too many of those can lead to a perm ban

2nd a force gamertag change gives you a random name change not a your choice

If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the standard Gamertag change process. However, the Gamertag that received the forced change will remain unobtainable.

A forced Gamertag change may be issued if a Gamertag visually resembles, sound likes, represents, hints at, abbreviates, or otherwise insinuates any of the following:

• Profane words or phrases
• Topics or content of a sexual nature
• Hate speech
• Controversial religious topics
• Notorious people or organizations
• Sensitive current or historical events

I agree with Ngocphi forced gamertag won't help you and still they will be able to send you hate messages. Settings your privacy settings will solve the problem. you can also submit a player complaint to those player who are sending you hate message(s).

There's no refund for inappropriate behavior such and buying an offensive gamertag. It's no scam. It's the result of making poor choices.
