    Forced Gamer Tag name change


    To the xbox enforcement team,

    Just got off chat with support team in regards to forced gamertag change. My gamer tag was changed by Microsoft as it was deemed inappropriate, to , which I don't like and want to change. Support told me that I had to post here to the Enforcement
    team to get my gamer tag changed for free as it was a force change.

    So could I please have this changed, as I don't believe its fair that I have to pay for name change when you are the ones that changed it to .

    If the enforcement team upheld their decision, then there is nothing else you can do. There's no reason to inform them of what you would change the name to. All you can do is change the tag if you want to and you will have to pay if you want to change it.
    This is per the code of conduct that you agreed to.

    Sorry, but support gave you incorrect information. Per the code of conduct, which you agreed to, if your name violates the code, the enforcement team will issue a randomly generated tag and you will have to pay to change it to something else. It is not possible
    to get a free change.

    If you need to find out why it was changed, you would need to post here for an official answer from the enforcement team -

    When you get a forced name change due to your gamertag violating the terms of service/code of conduct you dont get to choose what the new gamertag is. That is why they didnt ask you, because you dont get to choose.

    As you have experienced you are automatically given a random name. (this is how it works now)

    Any further name changes have to be paid for. There are no exceptions to that policy
