Forced Gamer Tag Change

Today, April 24th, my account was reported for an offensive gamertag, and issued a forced change. My gamertag was '[Mod Removed]'. In my opinion, the name isn't racist or offensive, but I can see how one might get offended, and I know that
it was a dumb decision to make it that. To change it to that name, I recently paid $10. I am very confused as for this being my first offense ever on my account, why am I not allowed to change it to something else. Basically, enforcement is telling me that
I can keep the name, '', that it was forced to, or pay for a gamer tag change. Why am only given the option to keep this random name or pay another ten dollars for a name that I recently paid for.

Forced Gamer tag change

I am being forced to change my gamer tag; (YuriFetish). I would like to know if there is any way i could prevent that from happening. Nobody i have talked to about it found it to be offensive and i would like to keep it. Sombody, please
respond to this. Thank you.

When you receive a forced gamertag change your tag is changed to an auto generated gamertag. Should you wish to change it you will need to pay the $10 fee. For more info on FNCs please refer to

I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

As Smwutches stated it was a forced gamer tag change. Someone found that your gamer tag was inappropriate and reported it. With a forced gamer tag change there is no case review. Remember when choosing a gamer tag that millions of people can see this from
kids to adults if you think the gamer tag you use is fine, someone else may find it offensive or inappropriate. They need to follow the

code of conduct.

The rules also state you can't have anything that refers to or insinuates sexual themes. In your case the word "pimpin" is a nod to prostitution.
