Forced Gamer Tag Change

So I have had the same gamer tag for years and just today I logged into my Xbox1 and seen that my gamer tag was changed from what it was to .

For years no one has had an issue with the name. I was allowed to make the name twice mind you; once on 360 and again on Xbox1 and now all of a sudden its against the Code of Conduct?

I just want to know how "[Mod Removed]" is offensive? Heck the chat support I talked to didn't even know what it was until they looked it up and proceeded to tell me that "It's a STD that affects both men and women"

How is this offensive? It's informational if anything. I would like to dispute the forced name change; If anything, if it's so offensive let me at least change it to something else without paying the 10 dollars change fee.

Forced Gamer tag change

I am being forced to change my gamer tag; (YuriFetish). I would like to know if there is any way i could prevent that from happening. Nobody i have talked to about it found it to be offensive and i would like to keep it. Sombody, please
respond to this. Thank you.

They used to allow you to create a new Gamertag when they issued a forced name change. However many people simply created yet another name that violated the Code. So now you get a free name change to something that is not offensive.

There is no dispute as Enforcement never reads this forum. It only take one complaint to have Enforcement change it. At this point you will need to pay 9.99 to have it changed to something that is not in violation.

If support told you to post in this forum then they are in complete error.

what axemator has said is correct if you don't like the name provided you have to pay to change it , if it has been deemed offensive then you have been lucky to get away with it this long . As stated it takes only one report for it to be brought to the attention
of the pet team .

I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

As Smwutches stated it was a forced gamer tag change. Someone found that your gamer tag was inappropriate and reported it. With a forced gamer tag change there is no case review. Remember when choosing a gamer tag that millions of people can see this from
kids to adults if you think the gamer tag you use is fine, someone else may find it offensive or inappropriate. They need to follow the

code of conduct.

The rules also state you can't have anything that refers to or insinuates sexual themes. In your case the word "pimpin" is a nod to prostitution.
