Force Gamertag Change

Hi. I was chatting with Van from Microsoft Support and he gave this link to me to post my situation.

My old gamertag that my friend had made for me a while back was recently changed without notifying me. I would like to change it back without pay, since I would have changed it to something else without a problem if I was told about the inconvenience. My current
gamertag is SweetKitten5010, and it's quite embarrassing.

Haha, I would love to hear how that is in anyway revealing personal information about you. That is like me saying because I fart my name needs to be changed.

Ok, a forced gamertag change would change only the tag and not the contents. It's possible that you may have accidentally created a new gamertag overtop of the existing one. Try creating a dummy email address to attach to the tag you're posting with to
see if that frees up the other.

Sorry, but when you're gamertag violates the code of conduct, you are given a forced name change. The enforcement team changes it to a randomly generated tag and you will have to pay to change it to something you want.
