Force closing and shutting down

I'll Usually turn the system on and go to the hulu app, possibly watch live tv. If I change to a game it will usually trip something up and force close things and even force shut down th system, I've used canned air and cleaned out the vents multiple times, the fan seems okay and it doesn't seem ot be overheating and isn't loud. Only thing I can think of is something is shorted in the power supply and will shut down but turn on right after.... really confusing me and gets annoying.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

You may need to reset the internal power supply or the power supply itself for Xbox One Original. You can follow the steps here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

If you have already tried that, it can be a corrupted system file as well which we may need to reset the console keeping games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Its the forcing in shutting down that corrupts the hard drive, but you have no choice as the freeze locks the system up, the Xbox needs to go through the closing down procedures. I contacted Xbox support this morning and they confirmed this.

Sometimes the console can take a little while to shut down if it is performing game or system updates Can you please say how long you have waited for the console to shut down before you have removed the power supply?

Also if you need to force the console to shut down it is possible to do this without needing to unplug the console. To force the console to shut down press and hold the Xbox Button on the front of the console and it will fully shut down.

Just save or quick save then do a force quit before shutting down.

I remember reading it somewhere, problem being I've forgotten where lol. The thing being financially there was no reason for them to be forced to shut down and THQ made a fair bit out of them with Homefront so I can't see THQ forcing one of its more profitable
developers to shut down.
