    I'm here writing this out of complete confusion. My gamer tag' "Im 2brazy bih" was force changed for no reason. There is nothing wrong with the gamer tag as to racism or anything in that mater. What I'm most pissed about is that they can't even give a free
    name change after being banned. Like if the gamer tag was so bad then why couldn't they stop before creating it. Tell me that it wasn't allowed but they didn't. And now they want me to pay $10 to change it again! I would like to have this case reviewed and
    somone tell me why the gamer tag is so bad in the first place

    Gamertag Issue

    Tried to change my gamertag via windows 10 app, and I still had never changed it and had my free change, I went to change it, everything worked out fine, the availability said the gamertag was fine, and I saved it. but when I exited the menu for name changing,
    the old preset gamertag was still there and it pretty much used my free change up without actually changing my gamertag for some reason.

    Nothing, but a hell of a marketing campaign. "How do you change a gamertag? Just do this, and today it's free", while the... other guy... can't change names at all, we are getting a free one.

    They do offer a free one upfront, but they also auto assign us our names that are stupid.

    I don't think they need to offer it free though, just cool idea, but not required i'm just glad they are giving the names back.

    As per the ToU/CoC you agreed to when starting your account if you receive a forced gamertag change you are given a generated tag for free,any other changes must be paid for.

    The system can't catch every tag so some times people can create a tag that slips through the filters.

    Gametag was changed for being against the rules.

    When i was forced a gamertag change it then let me change it again for free to something that i chose to, are you sure it wont let you make a free gamertag change now its been a forced change?
    They stopped giving out free name changes when someone received a forced name change years ago due to people abusing that system.

    The rules are now that if you receive a forced gamertag change you are given a randomly generated tag for free & if you want to change that then you have to pay.

    Accounts are not entitled to a free rename after a forced gamertag change by Enforcement.

    A free name change was originally offered in the past, but this was met with repeated abuse, so the privilege was eventually taken away.

    The Terms of Use/Code of Conduct you agree'd to was your warning.

    It doesn't matter how long it was on the service. It was reported and issued a change. Policy is that upon a Forced Name Change, you're given a random name.

    If you'd like to choose a new gamertag, you have to pay the fee of $9.99. There is no free change given after being issued a Forced Name Change.

    Support does not handle enforcement issues so they are typically known to give incorrect information. However, based on that transcription, the support person stated that the enforcement team would be the ones who could issue a free name change. However,
    they did not clarify that that would only be the case if they overturned their decision.

    The free gamertag change with forced gamertag changes was removed years ago due to abuse. No one is allowed a free gamertag change after they have been issued a forced gamertag change. This would be per the code of conduct you agreed to.
