For those of you that still haunt this forum...

So what do I need ot know about the MD cards, im playing through single player.

My knowledge of the game is, the original (non zexal) cartoons, the old konomi online game (10 plus years ago) and the 5d game. and a few old DS games.

I remember in 5d's it took me awhile to figure out fusion summons.

Rank matches seem to be full if you are looking for games.

 

Does anyone know when it will be released in Europe?

 

The game includes the new gameplay summon mechanic, Xyz Summoning. Like Synchro Summoning which was introduced with 5D's (and Fusion Summoning was more capitalized upon in GX), it lets decks play with more consistency and better synergy.

The idea is that you must have at least two or more monster of the same Level Stars on your side of the field face-up, and then select a Black-framed monster card from your Extra Deck whose Rank equals the Level of both monsters. (Unlike Synchro Summoning,
which has the player add together the Levels of the Tuner and Synchro Material monster(s)). The Black-framed monster card, the Xyz monster, is then placed on top of the two or more monsters as a stack.

For example, to summon Number 39: Utopia, a Rank 4 Xyz monster, you could use two face-up Mystic Tomatoes on your side of the field. Select Special Special Summon from the Extra Deck, select Utopia, and then select the Xyz Material (both Mystic Tomatoes).
Utopia is then placed on top of both monsters in one stack, occupying one Monster Card zone. The Xyz monster, Number 39: Utopia, is now using both Mystic Tomatoes to "fuel" its effects. Most Xyz monsters' effects require you to "detach" one or more Xyz Materials
to use their effects.

This new addition makes some older decks competitively viable, such as Toons which I personally use.

I am starting to learn about Xyz, im also realizing my deck that kicked but in 5D is no match for it.

I run a wizzard deck with the foucs on the Magical Citadel of Endymion Field spell and Edymion the master Magician. I run an all Mage Deck, used to have no traps but I had to pul lout a few spell cards when i moved it over to MD so added traps in its place
for now.

I need to find some spellcaster XyZ cards! Been playing throgh the single player to get cards, about to get ot hte 5D portion.

 

Yeah, there's some spellcaster Xyz monsters that you might like, like Norito the Moral Leader, a Rank 6 spellcaster.

 

The new game is great and annoying at the same time. Some cards on the updated ban list make zero sense. Monster reborn, brain control, and heavy storm are all forbidden? Why? There is no reason for it

 

They reflect the current tournament results/gameplay in the real-life TCG (not the OCG). Players have complained in the past and currently about decks that can perform OTKs and FTKs too consistently, and cards such as Heavy Storm and Brain Control contribute
to such methods. So some cards have been forbidden or restricted to ease this, affecting some widely-used decks such as Spellbooks and Heroes (Stratos), but they're are still playable.
