For how long is the headset issue going to go on?

Seems like it's constantly being fobbed off. Most people that are in this section of the forum will know what i'm talking about. You can hear other people chatting but they can't hear you. Doesn't work in party chat, Skype or anything else. This issue has
been going on nearly a week and most of the messages from support is basically going through all the troubleshooting instead of acknowledging that it's a problem on their end, not ours.

Xbox controller headset jack no longer working

How long are Xbox One controllers guaranteed for and how do you go about getting one replaced if still under warranty. We bought a new Xbox one last Christmas (2017) and the controller will no longer work with the headset so we can't talk to other players
any more. The headset is an official Xbox item and it works with other controllers.

 

Can't sign in to Xbox live!

so how long is this going to take for them to fix the issue i am getting really impatient.

 

actually it's been going on for a lot longer than a week man.....still no fix

 

Looking at other topics on this forum mentioning the same problem and they all seem to be getting locked. Obviously they can't be bothered to fix the issue. Can see why a lot of people have jumped ship and got a PS4 instead.

 

This is ridiculous it worked one second my party chat auto closed out now no one can hear me nor can I even record a voice message...I will blow this forum up everyday until I get a reply or a fix comes through

 

This as been going on since chat was first supported.

Troubleshooting is there to try and help get you up and running until a fix is found.

Dedicated servers will be used which could help fix this issue.

I'm on the preview program and they are working hard on this, That you can be sure of.

 

This is the first I've experienced it. And judging by Twitter and forums it seems there's been a rise in this issue over the last week. But still Xbox support continue to go through the same ridiculous trouble shooting procedure instead of acknowledging
it's an issue on their end. I was chatting with support yesterday and the best answer they could give me was replace the headset if it's in warranty. It's not the headset, the exact same issue happens when trying to use the Kinect mic. It's time they take
responsibility for this.

 

Sorry you have this problem but seeing you have done the trouble shooting nothing else I can do, But if I find something which could help I'll be back.

I've attached an image as proof that this is happening to a lot of people. Every single one of these have been given the run around by Xbox Support, going through the ridiculous troubleshooting (INCLUDING BEING ASKED TO TRY OTHER INTERNET PROVIDERS!). Some
people have even spent hard earned money replacing their headsets thinking it was a problem of theirs. Xbox Support's lack of responsibility regarding this issue is disgusting.

 

I have now purchased a new controller, new MS Stereo headset and an original headset that comes with the console... I've done everything but buy a new console, MS please stop sitting on your hands and acknowledge that A. This problem exists. 2. ITS THE CONSOLE...
I know as individual claims we don't "matter" to MS as a corporation, but surely the employees can see this and make something happen... Not happy at all MS... At all...

i don't like the set up of it the way it locks into the controller unlike the 360 if you drop the controller it wont unplug thus causing stress on the wires and possibly breaking

 

having the exact same problem of no one is able to hear me but I can hear them. I have also gone through the "troubleshooting". The thing is not to long ago things seemed to be working fine but recently it won't work properly.

headset troubleshooting you can try, and if that doesn't work, we suggest getting a repair done.
