FOR CANADIANS: Xbox Series X (Out Of Stock as of October 30 of 2020) Visual Disability ODSP...

    Hello Microsoft Community/Xbox,

    Truth & Full Disclosure:

My name is Daniel, 29 years of age, legally blind/low vision, in Windsor Ontario Canada. I have a disabilities accessibility issue in terms of being able to financially acquire a gaming console. I would like to acquire an Xbox Series X along with the Jurassic
World Evolution games, but the gaming console is currently out of stock before its official release on November 10 of 2020, which adds to an already difficult circumstance. As I am blind, I am also unemployed, my sole source of income is the Ontario Disability
Support Program which gives me a monthly benefit of $1072.00 per month, and today on October 30 of 2020 the Canadian Federal Government has released a one-time COVID-19 Disabilities Support Payment of $600.00 which to be frank, by comparison to the rest of
Canada is pennies on the dollar. To prove my financial situation I'm attaching a snippet of my bank statement (not containing any personal information) showing what I exactly currently have in my bank account as of this morning, literally at this very moment.

This morning, basically everybody in Ontario who is registered under the ODSP and is unemployed, has an otherwise nearly identical amount of limited funds as I do, so it's no understatement to declare ourselves some of Canada's poorest while under the whims
of a government controlled poverty. Given the extremely rare circumstance of the Federal Payment during this COVID-19, this allows me an opportunity to invest in the otherwise too expensive, such as a gaming console. All told, as I would have made the purchase
of the Xbox Series X through EBGames at Tecumseh Mall, I would have paid around $680.00 plus whatever it costs later-on for Jurassic World Evolution with its Expansions. I now cannot do this because it is Out Of Stock. This is dangerous for me because extreme
boredom is just as expensive, and I'm likely to lose the money before any future availability occurs.

My living situation is currently in my father's house, a career commercial truck driver currently off of work between employers, he has a medical issue involving his lungs that makes him extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 as well as to artificial cleaning
agents and other airborne chemicals, so maintaining Stay-At-Home is of the utmost extreme importance for his survival, as well as my own because I'm also asthmatic with allergies. I do not have the luxury to go out and do anything, I cannot risk bringing the
coronavirus back home. I also do not have friends, so as you can imagine my boredom level and isolation level for my age is extremely high, and my mental health is seriously deteriorating at this point for it. This is why I've decided to bite-the-bullet and
buy the gaming console. However, because of my Visual Disability this limits me severely to what I can actually play for games. What I have is called Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, it's an underdevelopment of the retina in both eyes, resulting in no peripheral vision
and serious tunnel vision. I also can barely read the words on a television screen, they're blurry no matter the prescription glasses I'm wearing. Quite literally, you can put something directly in front of me, and it may be in a blind spot and I'll never
notice it! This makes fast-paced gaming and small texts like in Skyrim The Elder Scrolls for instance almost impossible for me to visually track. If I could, I'd be joining my father in that on his computer, but I can't.

Thus my interest in the Jurassic World Evolution games, I love the film franchise and it looks simple enough for me to try playing? I grew up playing Zoo Tycoon 2 on computer, and my previous console experience was back with PlayStation2 playing Star Wars
Battlefront, and Nintendo 64 playing Pokémon Snap, so it's been a very, very long time since I've gamed. I've also played Pokémon on Gameboy Color and Nintendo 3DS, if that helps to give you an idea of where I'm at. The Xbox Series X seems unique in its high
definition and sharpness of quality, which I'm hoping may be to my advantage. Keeping in mind, if I were to somehow be able to acquire it, this console will probably stay with me for the remainder of the following decade from 2020 into 2030, hence is why I
don't have an interest in the cheaper Series S because of its overall lower quality by comparison. I can only afford to do this once, so I have to get it right the first time around. I simply cannot do this as it's not accessible.

So I need you to please advise me, what can I do? I am in a very rare circumstance of having just barely enough government benefits payments to do this, so if something doesn't happen right now, it probably won't happen ever, as fair accessibility to playing
games for the disabled and critically poor is the issue of the moment. I'm doing my best to survive COVID-19 in literal isolation and poverty, I need something to solve my extreme boredom, and it is harming my mental health. Again, what can I do? If the Xbox
Series X wasn't Out Of Stock, I'd be doing this right now, and I imagine that many other Canadians of Disability right this very moment are asking the same thing I am?

    :)

when can I get Xbox Series X

I take it you have an original Xbox One? Just trying to work out why you need a Series X/S for 4k play?

As to finding a Series X, best bet currently, as noted above, is via All Access (or being very quick when stock notifiers say they are in stock at wherever)...I got one a couple of weeks back via All Access in the UK
