Following update: Cannot press X or Rb, voice says "command not available"

Hello,

Since last week, it happened now 3-4 times: suddenly, the console stops responding to any press of X or Rb, and a voice says "Command not available" at every push. It goes away randomly, either in a few minutes or more. A console restart doesn't help.

Anyone else have the same? If yes, what needs to be done?

while play8ng Madden when I press x or rb it says Command not available. How do I fix this aside from factory resetting the game.

 

Update doesn't work

Can you go into system settings and press the following. It will delete part of the system update and re-download it.

LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X

 

Not exactly same trouble. But also a response trouble.

After the spring update, the console stops responding to any press of all buttons, event start/stop button of the console. Only way to solve is to unplug power, then replug, then wait boot before restart playing.

It is not a correct way to restart the console, but the only one I have found.

I have contact Microsoft support on twitter but they sent me to a "standard" troubles with WIFI/Bluetooth devices as controllers. I think they don't read all my message.

Hope this can help Microsoft to work on a corrective update !

Can we go back the an older firmware ?

 

Same here. Seems like ZERO support from Microsoft.

 

I forgot to post how this was actually resolved.

It was after the update 2 months ago.

We did 2 things, not sure which one exactly solved it, you can try each one by one:

1/ Disable Cortana (Settings -- All settings -- System - Cortana)

2/ Disable Narrator (Settings > All Settings > Ease of Access -- Narrator)
