Followers not appearing as followers!

Hi all, I've been having this issue for several months now with no fixes yet. People are adding me as a friend and sometimes I get a notification and sometimes not! When I view their profile it shows them as following me but they don't appear on my followers
list!! My friends number is higher than my followers number and this is incorrect as I only follow or add people who follow me! Anyone know of a fix for this or is it a widespread problem! I've done several of the troubleshooting steps like hard reset, remove
and then readd profile, contacted them to unfollow then readd me, I've even restored to factory defaults with no luck!

When players friend me they don't show up as followers.

Quite strange how they are not appearing as followers on your console. Followers and friends are slightly different however and there's a little explanation of the differences on

this page, written by Major Nelson.

Perhaps try removing and having one of your friends re add you to see if they reappear on your followers list.

I also recently had this problem today. Someone added me, I added them back and now they no longer appear as a Follower, but on their Profile page it shows that I am still in their friend list.

Same...I receive a notification that someone added me as a Friend. So I click the Notification side bar to view who added me and then it magically disappears. I have no idea after that point (unless I write their gamertag down) who it was that added me.
I go to me Followers section which is where they should be listed since I did not add them as a friend yet & they are not listed. It only shows the current Followers (which also for some *** up reason includes my friends). It would be Great if this could be
fixed. Sony PlayStation WHY didn't I just purchase you??

Never part ways with a follower with that much worth in Gold.

When I was doing a Brotherhood mission with a new recruit in Markath, I parted ways with them. However, I did not find them at the Dawnstar sanctuary for several days. Once I returned to Markath, I realized I had picked up a bounty when I was with the
recruit, AFTER I PARTED WAYS, but BEFORE THEY LEFT THE CITY. Once I paid the bounty off, the recruit showed up cooking up some stew in the Sanctuary.
