followed advice on this website now a controller is entirely ruined

I bought a PDP wired controller and was having issues with the vibration being at barely 10% or less and was searching for advice on how it could be resolved and I came across a suggestion on this website to reset the controller. I attempted to follow the
steps but they didnt work AND now my controller is forever stuck in a left stick down mode. Unplugging it did nothing, restarting the console did nothing, attempting to follow the reset steps did nothing. I cannot access the console settings or do anything
with it.

I live in australia so I will be attempting to get it replaced as per our laws (it wasnt working as advertised the vibration that is advertised on the box was barely working, in halo 5 firing a weapon triggered barely the most subtle quiver, boosting and
general movement effects had zero result) but might I ask that a moderator or something contact me so I can highlight to them this step guide which caused my controller to become entirely unusable after attempting provided "directions"?

Have you downloaded the PDP application from Xbox itself? it has all the settings you'd need for your controller.

Hi there!

I apologise for the issue you have had! nothing worse than not being able to play your favourite game.

The guides to resolve this issue are only guidelines and various troubleshooting methods. From what you have said it seems the controller you purchased was faulty and very tempromental.

You have done the correct thing by taking it back to where you purchased it in order to get refund/exchange.

I hope your new controller works perfectly

yeah I think it was the controller from the get go. I recorded video of its faultyness with my phone and will be taking it back to the place of purchase today. Surely they will have no alternative but replace it for me.

I only tried the resetting steps here to see if that would get the vibration function to work right, so it must have been inches from dying in the first place, and attempting a software intervention killed it dead
