FM6: Issue with redeemed DLC code for car pack + individual car DLC bought

The main problem is that the game doesn't seem to recognize correctly that I bought an individual car dlc (Toyota Hybrid race car, for 2,99) and redeemed a car pack dlc code (10y anniversary car pack, included in the physical copy of the game). The content
is indeed installed and shows up as "bought" in-game.

However somehow I get what a second user of the content would get: A possibility to buy the specific DLC content with in-game credits. As a first and only user of this specific content I would normally get them for free under the "Free cars" tab in "Find
cars" as I am the one that payed for it (also the only user of the console).

Described on the Forza forums was:

- to check if the content was indeed installed

- try rebooting the game

- try a hard reset of the console

- uninstall the game and reinstall

Neither of these solved the issue. I am now reluctant to buy more DLC as I feel like I'm being 'ripped off' because I'm getting double charged.

I am unable to complete the one time free purchase for the cars in the car packs. Why?

Well recently I purchased a version of the game included the FM6 top gear car pack, FM6 eBay Motors car pack, FM6 Porsche expansion, FM6 NASCAR expansion, FM 6 Mobil 1 car pack, Forza Motorsport 6 VIP, Forza Motorsport 6 10 year anniversary car pack, FM6
Polo red car pack, FM6 Meguiar's car pack, FM6 Logitech car pack, FM6 fast and furious car pack, Forza motorsport 6 car pass, FM6 Alpinestars car pack, FM6 2016 Mazda forza MX-5. If I remember correctly it was called the platinum edition and was only available
for a short time on the Xbox marketplace. I so far have only been able to access the Porsche and NASCAR expansions. All of the other car packs will not let me complete the one time free addition of the cars to my garage. Does anyone have any idea why this
might be happening?

 

Anyone else feel like this about fh2.

It doesnt unlock every car. Only about twenty of them. To get all of them you also need to buy the vip pass, and about 3 other packs, thats on top of the car pass, the ff pack, storm island and porshe expansions.

It sounds like what you're experiencing is as intended. While the content may be unlocked on your account, you'll still need to purchase the cars with in-game currency. Some cars and DLC will show up under 'Free cars' but not all. Thanks for your understanding

I'm certain this is not the case, at least for the 10 year anniversary car pack. Even the "free cars" aren't free in my game. This image shows what should be happening...

To clarify, it looks like it's free in the game, but are you saying that when you try to obtain the car in game it's also asking you to pay for it with in game currency?

The Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack works in the same way as other car packs do, this unlocks the ability for you to purchase them in game with currency as opposed to someone who doesn't own the DLC. Are you not able to purchase the car in game with the in
game currency?

 

The image is of what is supposed to happen (I found it on Google) when I want to obtain the cars. I however do not get to see this as they do not show up for free. I do not understand why I would have to pay for them with in-game credits when other players
don't?

In the marketplace the dlc would show up as "Purchased". Then you go to Find cars and they should be in the free section. So telling me it only unlocks the ability to buy them with in-game credits doesn't make sense.

 

To clarify,

When you redeem the Anniversary pack, you're able to select each car one time for free with the customizations. After that, you'll need to purchase the car again using in game currency. Have you used another profile to obtain the car for free? Are you able
to get any of the other cars in the pack for free without having to use in game currency?

 

1. I got my Xbox One specifically to be able to play Forza games. I installed the console, made an account (as I normally am a Playstation player) and then installed Forza Motorsport 6.

2. The game (and console) I bought was new (still had its seal and plastic wrap), the code redeemed just fine in the Store. The extra content was installed before the first start-up.

3. Upon first start-up I already noticed the absence of the cars in any free way. I then looked it up on Google to find out how to get these and thought maybe I needed to have a certain level.

In the meanwhile, 9 days after getting and first playing my Xbox, I'm driver level 20 something and still haven't received any of these cars in the free section. I tried hard resets, reinstalling the dlc, reinstalling the entire game. There are no other
players on my console, no other accounts and the game was sealed and bought in the game retailer. If you would check my gamertag you could see I myself purchased the specific car dlc and I redeemed the dlc code for the 10y anniversary car pack.

I enjoy the game a lot but this specific issue is always in the back of my mind and disrupts the experience for me..!
