Flight simulator x gold edition

Years ago my mom bought me flight simulator x gold edition disk for my previous laptop, years later as I've upgraded and got the interest to play the game again, the problem is my MacBook does not have a CD slot. Is there a way I could use my product key that I have to download the game on Microsoft's website or any other related solution.

Flight Simulator X isn't. That is an old game. However Microsoft Flight Simulator is.

As far as I know flight simulator X steam edition works fine on modern machines. I would assume that goes for all the versions
