    Flight Simulator keeps telling me to press any key. Can't log into Xbox Live. Back to FS....


    So here's today's mystery. For no apparent reason, and after a couple of weeks of working without any glitches, MSFS has started playing up again. Normally when I click the app it loads and takes me to the main menu. But over the weekend it appears to load so far then takes me to a 'Press any button to continue' screen. I press any button and then a smaller Xbox window appears with my avatar and login name, welcoming me back. It gives me the option of signing in with a different account, which I don't need to - this is my regular account. There's a big green "Let's Go" button at the bottom of the window. I click it and it takes me back to MSFS - Press any button to continue. I click any button and it opens the Xbox login window again, etc. etc. etc.

    I've rebooted, checked disk space, culled the apps running and reloaded again. I've gone into Settings, Apps, found all the MSFS, Xbox and Gaming Services apps, clicked Advanced Options, Repair. Nothing seems to work

    Is anyone else having similar problems? Has MS built 'not being able to log in' into the failures options? Do I give up and go back to X-Plane? Does anyone know a good hairpiece manufacturer as I'm pulling my hair out? Any advice gratefully received?

    Flight Simulator 2020 I open it and at the start it says "Press any key to start" and I press a key and it just flashes and says the same message again and it just keeps happening no matter what key I press or how many times I keep trying.
    I had this very issue, went to a black screen with a circle and it pops back saying "Press any key to start". The fix for me was to install "Xbox Beta" from microsoft store and running fs 2020 from the xbox app. The very same thing Alvro1967 discovered.

    I have had this same problem for over 12 months, have reinstalled numerous times it then works once then back to the same old. This **** happened when they introduced the XBOX debacle login to the system, they have screwed us PC owners, I WILL NEVER BUY MICROCRA p again.

    This happened exactly the same day I installed it on my pc. I don't want to buy this again but on steam this time. Please find a fix I will reinstall!?

    This worked for me, although you may have to keep doing it. Go into Apps (or Add/remote programs) and find Gaming services and XBox live. Reset both apps under advanced options - only takes a moment and seems to works.
