Flight Simulator Crashes Randomly

Flying in flight simulator, I started my pushback in a boeing 747 from the gate, I asked the pushback tug to steer me left. And then the game glitched and won’t allow me to stop pushback. If I select “ground services” it’s freezes for a second and then lags and doesn’t change my menu. I restart the flight and try again. Take off as normal, fly for an hour 10mins and approach KLAX for a standard landing. Enter the traffic pattern as normal, make turn from downwind to short final, and then the game just absolutely loses frames, lags and then just kicks me right back to the Xbox Home Screen. After a full 1 hour flight from KSFO to KLAX, the game just dies and I don’t even get to finish the flight. VERY frustrating since I’m usually not one to be upset over this, but in consecutive days this has been the 4th crash of the game upon short final after 40+ min flights. I’m using a controller on Xbox, with a clean and ventilated area for cooling and having no games or download happening in the background. Still can’t finish a flight in MFS. I’ve restarted the console and re-downloaded the game and still no fix. Rather annoying. How can I fix this?

Please, uninstall the game and do this

Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

Its happening in PC Windows 11 and no, when i installed Microsoft Flight Simulator the first time, it crashed, so i never played it

I had this happen to me two times, I think.

Since then I have only been running Flight Simulator in windowed mode (I multitask and do other stuff while flying, using multiple monitors) and as long as I make sure some other window is in focus when I turn on the controller again, it doesn't seem like
it crashes the flight simulator.

Basically, this happens when I make a long flight using autopilot and the controller turns itself off because it has been idle for too long. I just click in a browser (or some other app) and hold the xbox-button on the controller. I then wait 10 seconds
or so before going back to the flight simulator.

Has worked so far. Experience may vary.

The two times it crashed, I had the flight simulator in focus when i started the controller.
