Flight Simulator — Can I buy it on my PC and switch to Xbox later?

Details of the xonsole release have not been announced other than its happening

it is not currently marked as a PlayAnywhere title, and likely wont be as they are launching far apart. To be PA they have to come out at the same time.

If tou have game pass you will have access to both editions

Flight SImulator is not compatible with any Xbox One, One S, or One X consoles

Only Series S and Series X

There are two versions of the joystick, one that is for PC only and one for Xbox, make sure you have the Xbox version and that the selector switch is set to Xbox

Make sure your specific model is compatible with Flight Simulator
