Flight Simulator 2020 Stuck at Content Update Page

I have FS2020 Standard installed successfully. But when it is lauched to the Content Manager page. It stucks there and shows the flashing "Please wait..." message. It seems that it is trying to copy the first 787 file but fail.

My account, my computer, my drive, my network, everything looks normal. I have applied all suggestions I could found on the internet but still won't solve the issue.

I also tried installing the game onto another two PCs, one is Surface Pro. Same issue and the game won't proceed.

Has anyone encountered the same issue ? Any solution ?

I've got the game refunded. I am thinking of getting another version of the game, Steam or DVD, for another shot.

But I'll keep your suggestion in mind.

I think mine might have got wedged because it kept crashing during the update.

Eventually it got to a state where it would not download anything to the default content location.

Not sure if it's a full solution yet, but I created a new content location (C:\FSContent). Killed and restarted flight simulator and used the Browse button to select the new location. Now it's re-downloading content. Hopefully it will finish
this time!

If you’re stuck on the Flight Simulator 2020 checking for updates loading screen, these are the fixes that players have reported:

Restart the game

Run as administrator

To do this, type ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020’ in the Windows search bar, right-click, then run as administrator

Download latest Windows updates

Download latest Nvidia driver updates

Disable Windows firewall (I finally get off that screen when I performed this step).
