Flight Simulator 2020 not loading the launcher

Hi there...

Ive been trying to install FS2020 for the last 10 hours...

I've got the GamePass and I can Install other games....

At the begining I've got the 0x00000001 error but I solved it with the proper update to windows 10 2004

Also checked every single update of windows, nvidia drivers, microsoft store....and tested the powershell solutions

Then I was able to download the 1GB launcher but it doesn't load...

Tried it from the Microsoft Store, from the Xbox beta, from the start menu as administrator...

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling in different drives ( including C: )

Checked my User folder for special characters....

I reseted the store, the xbox and the FS install...

I troubleshooted all of it...

Every time I load the FS it gets stuck in a few seconds around 316.206 in memory (in the task manager) and I cant even get to the splash screen... after a while it closes.

I tried executing the CustomInstallExec.exe /install Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.121.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe from a CMD (with Administrator privileges) with same result...

Please help....

In my case Zonealarm free was causing the problem. It was not sufficient enough to exit Zonealarm and the stop the automatic launch of this firewall in the startup sequence of the computer.

I had to do :

Execute a complete uninstall of Zonealarm.

Activate windows defender

Reboot the PC.

Launch FS2020

Install the update.

Exit the game.

Install Zonealarm.

Reboot.

Launch FS2020

If you expect en new update you have to repeat the process.

I've just encountered the same problem after a ZoneAlarm and Flight Simulator update.

When I try to start FS, nothing happens at all. I've found the solution is to turn off Zone Alarm Anti Ransomware before starting Flight Simulator. You can turn it back on once FS has started.

In the Event Viewer error I get when I launch FS I get "Faulting Module Path: Unknown"
