    Unable to find update in Microsoft Store. When attempting to run MSFS 2020 it asks to 'press any key' but when I do a small black screen momentarily comes up then disappears and the "press any Key" prompt appears again. I have the 18.3 update but cannot
    access the latest nor can I run the game. I have version 19.3 and all security updates up to date. I have not opted to download and install 20.4 yet but shouldn't need it. Please advise! I have prem deluxe version purchased through the Microsoft Store.

    If you’re stuck on the Flight Simulator 2020 checking for updates loading screen, these are the fixes that players have reported:

    • Restart the game
    • Run as administrator
      • To do this, type ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020’ in the Windows search bar, right-click, then run as administrator
    • Download latest Windows updates
    • Download latest Nvidia driver updates
    • Disable Windows firewall (I finally get off that screen when I performed this step).
    None of these resolves the issue - I have done it all.

    Hello, Yes, it is possible to configure Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates to be downloaded to an external folder. To do this, follow these steps:

    Open the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 application.

    Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

    Select "General" in the left sidebar.

    Scroll down to the "Updates" section.

    Select the "Use a different location for updates" option.

    Select the external folder where you want the updates to be downloaded.

    Select "OK."

    Once you have completed these steps, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates will be downloaded to the external folder you selected.
