Flight Simulator 2020 Crashing on initial install

My 10 year old saved hard to purchase Flight Simulator and I am having trouble getting it to work. This was purchased separately and not part of the game pass.

I can load the initial 2gb install but when I launch the game it goes to the initial screen and then closes down. When reopening it offers a normal and safe version but with each option the same thing happens.

I've tried a couple of things, like installing under admin account logged in locally and checking firewall but had no success.

Let’s try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly press the Win + R key to open the Run dialog.

Type cmd and click OK to open Command Prompt.

In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and hit Enter to execute:

WSReset.exe

Then open the Microsoft Store, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in again using the account that has the game and should change the store account. Try installing your game again.
