    Flight sim 2020 cyclical disk error


    I get an error whilst attempting to install fs 2020 from the disks. the installer crashes with an error about cyclical errors on cab2 i am installing this on a brand new ssd as i dont have room on my C drive to install 150gb of game as the answer to this
    thread recommends (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/installing-flight-simulator/bf69b281-8ef3-4998-83c1-2199181d63d4) . it is not a solution to tell people to install on a different drive for a game this large. if anyone has a solution or
    even and idea plz reply.

    Flight sim 2020 cyclical disk error

    Hi,

    This error is a disc read error. A cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is an error reading the data from a disc. There could be a number of reasons for this:

    • The data on the disc is corrupt (highly unlikely)
    • The area of the disc being read is dirty or damaged
    • Your PC DVD drive laser isn't working as it should or the diode is dirty

    The main part of of MSF2020 can be installed on practically any drive, it does not need to be C:\. Mine is installed on my internal SSD F:\ drive.

    Check the disc isn't dirty or damaged. If it's dirty clean it with a soft none-abrasive cloth.
