flickering xbox 360 in grey tones

We have some steps
here that can help troubleshoot your issue. If it works on your friend's TV but not yours, it could be an issue with your TV. Have you also tried different cables connecting the console to the TV?

Thanks for the link, but I already checked that out.

I get no warning-message or warning light. Sometimes when it freezes, it freezes a random color (such as skin-tone or grey).

My fear is that I will have to send it in for repair and be without an xbox for a month.

Apologies for the late response as I was testing the 360 with an another TV. So the issue comes up whenever the 360 is running for more than half an hour. When I was playing on a new TV, the flickering didn't happen for a solid like 15-20 minutes but afterwards had to turn it off because of the flickering.

So what can I do to solve this flickering.

You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago

I would recommend you go buy a HDMI cable and use that instead. Better picture and sound also I am sure your Vizio has HDMI ports.
